My Unforgettable South Africa Safari Adventure with Lesbifriends Travel

I recently returned from the most incredible journey with Lesbifriends Travel—a 9-day South Africa Safari Adventure that left me in awe. From the vibrant streets of Johannesburg to the breathtaking landscapes of Cape Town, every moment of this trip was filled with excitement, culture, and connection.

Day 1: Arriving in Johannesburg

We kicked off our adventure in Johannesburg, staying at the stunning Farmhouse 58 in the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site. The setting was absolutely serene, with luxury accommodations nestled in nature. After a long flight, we were welcomed with a delicious dinner that gave us a taste of the local cuisine. The evening was filled with laughter, icebreakers, and games—such a great way to start getting to know my fellow travelers.

Days 2-3: Immersed in Johannesburg’s Culture

Mornings started with your choice of yoga, breathwork, or guided meditation, which was a perfect way to set the tone for our days. The breakfast spread was hearty and delicious, fueling us for the day’s activities.

Johannesburg was all about culture and history. We explored the Nirox Art Tour, a mesmerizing experience that showcased South Africa’s vibrant art scene. The visit to the Cradle of Humankind was awe-inspiring, knowing we were standing in a place so significant to human history. But the real emotional highlight was the Apartheid Museum—walking through its halls, learning about the country’s difficult past, and seeing how far it has come was truly moving.

We also visited Soweto, a place rich with history and life. Lunch at Sakhumzi’s was a real treat—authentic South African cuisine in the heart of this iconic township. The stories and sights in Soweto will stay with me forever.

Days 4-5: Cape Town’s Natural Beauty and History

Next, we flew to Cape Town, and wow, what a city! We stayed at The President Hotel, which offered stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean. Our time here was packed with amazing experiences, including shopping at the local markets.

One of my favorite moments was taking the cable car up Table Mountain. The views from the top were breathtaking, and some of us even opted for a thrilling zipline experience! Cape Town’s nightlife didn’t disappoint either. We spent one evening enjoying live music over dinner—dancing, laughing, and simply soaking in the vibrant energy of the city.

Days 6-7: Safari

The safari at Aquila was everything I had dreamed of and more. Seeing the Big Five up close in their natural habitat was surreal. There’s nothing quite like watching a lion in the wild or seeing a herd of elephants stroll by. It was one of those pinch-me moments that you know you’ll remember forever.

Days 8-9: Savoring the Cape Winelands

We wrapped up our trip with a relaxing journey through the Cape Winelands. Visiting three vineyards, tasting some of the finest wines, and enjoying the stunning scenery was the perfect way to end the adventure. It gave us all a chance to reflect on the incredible experiences we had shared over the past week.

Reflecting on the Experience

Looking back, this trip was so much more than just a vacation—it was an opportunity to connect with a diverse group of amazing people, to learn about South Africa’s rich history and culture, and to immerse myself in some of the most beautiful landscapes on earth. Lesbifriends Travel took care of every detail, from the luxurious accommodations to the well-curated itinerary, making the whole experience seamless and stress-free.

If you’ve ever dreamed of visiting South Africa, don’t hesitate—this is the trip you’ve been waiting for. Trust me, it’s an adventure you’ll never forget. Whether you’re exploring the art and history of Johannesburg, hiking up Table Mountain, going on safari, or sipping wine in the Cape Winelands, every moment is pure magic. South Africa stole my heart, and I can’t wait to go back.
